Re: Carry On Up The Khyber
I was brought up with Carry On films and love them but they are not really a cultural high tide mark. Carry On Up The Khyber does rather stand out and is apparently regarded as one of the best British comedy films.
I was in India last February. People carried round metal containers to work containing their lunch, known as tiffin.
The gag about the British being "used to cuts" has stood the test of time.
