Great project!

How about making the hose the circumference of your heel. Instead of a slit along your Achilles tendon, simply place a fold there--and still use the snap.

Less drafty in your cold climate, and the upper fold of fabric would hide the snap head.


Or..same idea, but use a hidden zipper?

Hmmm. So just make regular cadadh, put them on, and the sort of pleat up the excess and install snaps in the right spots to take the slack out?

I think it would work. It might work very well. On my ankle I would still have almost twice as much cloth as I needed, so pretty deep folded in hidden bits.

Also, the snaps would be through a single layer of cloth so that unsnapped the cadadh could open far enough at the ankle to let the heel back out. Maybe a bit of reinforcement cloth between the snap halves on the inside of the cadadh?

If someone has a pair they choose to try it on I would be glad to see pics.
