Hi all. My name is Chuck. User name tundramanq. I found this site about two years ago when I started wearing kilts. It was a godsend of information on the care and feeding of the beasts. I tried quite a few different types and styles (expensively - LOL) and settled on Utilikilts and Sport kilts, worn at the hip bones, as I can't wear anything over my waist comfortably due to two abdominal surguries. The last surgical closing they used a dacron mesh patch to close me up. It extends 3 inches up and down from my belly button and any waist band on top of it irritates where the skin is caught between sutures and waistband.

I quickly fell in love with the freedom and convenience of kilts, not to mention stepping away from the herd.

I retired 3 years ago from Sandia National Laboratory doing neutron/gamma spectroscopy for their reactors and other machines for 24 years. Before that collage. Before that US Navy operating nuclear power reactors aboard the USS Bainbridge CGN-25.

Since retirement the pace has dropped off dramaticly. I fish, camp and bike around town when I can. My neighbors "Honey do" projects do a good job of keeping my duff off of the Lazyboy sofa in front of this 40 inch tv/computer monitor. Great size for old eyes

Thank you for past help. I have a few ideas to post if they haven't been already.
