That thing's a sin against sporran making, taxidermy, and racoons.

...all it's fit for is a proper burial.

However, I think it might be HER buckle. For some reason, looking at the rings on the fingers, the curvature between the hips and the waist, and the way the hands are held on the hips, this looks like a woman to me.

I agree with that distinct possibility.
