Blue & Gold tartans- again

That is the new WVU tartan as of October 2011... a bit too yellow for my personal tastes.

I agree completely. I prefer the University of Glasgow tartan where blue predominates, and the other university tartans which have a balance between blue and yellow ("gold").

I think I understand where they were coming from when they designed the WVU tartan: yellow is the predominate colour seen in the stands at WVU's stadium
