Quick and Cheerful leather sporran
Aye aye,
Most of my leather work involves making knife sheaths and larger leather bags but I felt compelled to try a sporran.
Made this using Veg tanned leather. The lid is left stiff and died black using homemade ferric acetate (vinagroon). The pouch parts were made from the same leather but bashed about until it became soft and pliable. I left this section undyed. In the photo it is still fairly light but has been darkened a wee bit after I applied Neatsfoot oil.
I'll probably replace the cord with leather lace if I can find any.
Comments welcome!
