Re: Utilikilts worn formally?
Lack pictures but I have mockers in 5 colors - Black, Heather grey, Thunder grey (light), Cream and Olive.
I pick the kilt to go with the top and and hose. And fit right in in churchs, weddings and other formal events.
I think I have converted more guys to kilts all dolled up this way than my normal casual to total slob ( after dirty work) regalia, Utilikilt, semi's or traditional.
A lot of John Q public like the advantages and look of kilts but don't seem to care for or be able to afford the rest of the full of traditional garb. The cost of the kilt itself gets minor compared to the rest. A lot off guys tend to automatically think tartans are formal and require the rest - go figure.
