Hawick, Scotland
The sharp eyed among you may have spotted me holding the Quaich in this group photo from the Dumfries Kilted Pub Crawl and Burns Supper 30/31 March photothread.
The Quaich made the fifty three mile journey from Dumfries to Hawick on Sunday 1st April and is seen here shortly after arrival in Scotland's Heritage Capital and Home of Cashmere.
A year on since I attended the launch of The Quaich in Victoria BC on 19th March 2011 and The Quaich has travelled to my home in Scotland the long way round from Canada, via Japan, Australia, Tasmania, France, Belgium, Germany, England and Wales.
The Quaich hopes to visit House of Cheviot to see the production of quality Hawick Kilt Hose.
If you want to meet up with the Quaich and sign the log book it will be at
CARLISLE AIRPORT (Solway Aviation Museum) on Easter Monday, 9th April from 10:30am till 5pm and at
PRESTONPANS RAILWAY STATION (near EDINBURGH) on Wednesday 11th April at 11am prompt for handover to the next recipient.
More photos of the Quaich's visit to Hawick will follow in due course.
