So a couple of weeks ago on the weekend my SO was briefly attending a friend's daughter's birthday party and I had an hour or so to wander around the Stanford Shopping Center; as it happened I was wearing the 6-yarder Matt Newsome made for me in the Rob Roy (Film) tartan. As I was wandering around looking at things I noticed that there was an update available for one of the apps on my iPhone 4S. So I simply strolled over to the nearby Apple Store there to hop onto their Wi-Fi so I could download it a bit faster.

As I was standing outside the store doing that, one of the (male) store personnel came out, walked up to me, and said "Thank you".

As I looked at him with a quizzically Spock-esque raised eyebrow, he said more emphatically "THANK you!! You've made my day!!"

After asking me about the kilt, he asked me what I thought about Utilikilts, as he had thought of getting one. I gave him my reasoned preferential thoughts on UKs and a couple of other solid-color kilt vendors (in other words I addressed HIS interests, with thoughts on what I happened to like among various available offerings in that range and why) and also referred him to Xmarks.

This is how we breed.
