Now really, Quebec isn't that hot in the summer. I highly doubt you'll be too inconvenienced in regular kilt socks.
How do I know? Well, I have spent part of almost every summer since 1961 at my family's summer property north of Maniwaki. There are some warm days, without a doubt, but generally the weather is pretty nice in the summer. Save the soccer socks for the playing field.
