Hi XMTS members,

I've been reading the posts here for several weeks now. Great board with interesting and knowledgeable members. I'm a member of Clan Gordon USA and also a descendent of the Anderson, Boyd, Douglas, Elliot, MacTeer, and Skene clans/families, as well as the Irish MacCarthy, and O'Doherty clans.

I've been attending the Longs Peak Highland Festival off-and-on for a number of years now and although I've admired tartan kilts from the beginning, I've never owned or worn one before and think it's about time I joined the party. I'm considering getting a Semi-Traditional kilt in Gordon Modern from USA Kilt. I'm usually hot and will mainly be kilted outside at the Colorado Scottish Festival and Highland Games in August and the Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Festival in early September. The semi-trad from USA Kilt sounds like a good fit.

I'm also planning to get a simple brown leather day sporran in either a flap or hunting style. I'd rather have quality leather and craftsmanship than flash at this point and am considering something like one of the following:
