Last Friday I went to the opening of Brave along with my wife and older grandkids. I decided to go "kilted" and see what might happen. The movie was fun and entertaining with a good story line and not just a cutsey Disney fairy tale. As we left I noticed people watching me. It was interesting their reactions, but no one said anything directly to me. The kids pointed and giggled and some of the adults just stared with questions on their faces. It was also great fun. We then went to dinner ata local diner and I got the same reactions, people just stared and talked to themselves. I used to be self-conscious about wearing my kilt in public but now I just give people something to talk about.
