brothers in kilts,no matter where you are from or what god you follow, or in what way you follow that god.just wear your kilt with pride.
Absolutely right, Phil!!!

I have little interest in the so-called history of the kilt (little of which can be proved) no more, in fact, than I have in the history of the shirt, the trousers, the socks or any other item of clothing!
The important thing to me is the garment I have hanging in my wardrobe, the garment I am wearing right now. Is it comfortable; does it suit me; am I offending anyone by wearing it, etc., etc?

Of course, I have pride in my ancestors (Scottish and English) but I know nothing about any of them beyond my own grandparents. My parents knew nothing of their families whatsoever - apart from what little their parents told them. Now, I have no living relatives and so, I know it sounds selfish but, I live for myself - for this moment. Naturally, I live also for my community and for my fellow men, but we are talking 'family' history here.

My kilts are for me, for today and tomorrow.

My origins have little or no bearing on what I choose to wear. I wear kilts (in every sense of that word) because they are supremely comfortable, because I believe they suit me, and because by being seen to be doing so, and talking about them, I might just help to convince some other men to call an end to their own trouser tyranny.

Ooops! Sorry, I didn't mean to 'go on' like that (but you know what I am like, once I get started!!!!)
