Unruly pleats on Alt.Kilt Denim Kilt
Now that I've lost 29 lbs/ 13 kg (hmm -- over 10 stone!), with 75 lbs or so to go, I've gotten back into daily kilt wearing.
For day to day wear, its been my denim Alt.Kilt. (BTW -- reaction from the populace here in Kamloops BC has been overwhelmingly positive. Lots of thumbs up - and wolf-ette whistles ).
Problem is this kilt is heavy and a bit 'stiff' and the pleats don't seem to lay/ drape nicely. My wife has ironed them flat for me, but they still seem to flare a bit, unlike when I first got it. It seems that after the first wash, it got like this.
I'd like to soften it up a bit and get the pleats to play nice. Seeing as I'll only have a few more months wear from it because as I lose weight it will be way to big, I want to get the most out of it.
Any ideas to control then pesky pleats?
Tony
