Here are some photos of my new Alt.Kilt Classic in olive drab (cotton heavyweight twill).

As many of you know, these kilts are highly customizable and can be crafted with some very interesting features. The "Classic" comes in about seven different colors with the option of three button styles--I chose celtic buttons in antique brass.

The heavyweight cotton twill fabric is thick, but soft to the touch, and does not have a scratchy or stiff feeling. This was a pleasant surprise. The floating waistband is another positive in my opinion. The waist can be adjusted by pulling the closure of the apron to your preferred snugness, and then simply adjusting your belt until you have achieved the most comfortable fit. I thought this olive drab version of the kilt dressed up nicely in brown or black.

Overall, the stitching is precise and the construction is very solid, with nice pleats that are deep and relatively easy to iron. The pockets are modest size, but not so big that they detract from the overall look of the kilt.

Would highly recommend the Alt.Kilt for anyone looking to get into a modern kilt.
