Pertaining to X-Kilt Manual, Appendix 3: Tartan Hikers Method

I did not notice a reference to a waistband in the Appendix 3 instructions. Did I miss something or am I supposed to incorporate this feature from the original X-Kilt instruction set? Sorry for having to ask a dumb question.
