Good evening, I am Thom Hieronymus, I live in central Maine. I'm a transplant from eastern Kentucky. Hmmm.... Hieronymus is not a common Scottish name ... I, perhaps like a lot of members claim Scotland and the right to wear a tartan through our mothers. My GreatGrandFather was a Lucas of Clan Lamont. What I know of the massacare of Dunoon I learned only recently. I still claim my Campbell friends. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, active in church and community, Viet Nam era veteran, happily married father of a grown daughter and growing son and a dmn liberal. All that said I will answer any other questions when ask. I made my 1st kilt without benefit of pattern or experience so I could learn how to pleat. It was a good effort wih a fair out come. I wear a great Kilt to Renne Faire when I get the chance I have a nice Freedom tartan that I wear to music festivals and local fairs. I need help with my next kilt. A friend of mine a hand weaver is producing form 8 yards for Lamont Ancient tartan. The tartan is a double scept that can be found in the cataloge of the various kilt makers. Because it is not common I cant find how the 2nd part of the scept with the single cross member is treated in the pleating. Any advice or opinion is appreciated. Please excuse the typing & spelling...clumsy dyslexic Greeting All, Thom
