    Sweet Agony

So Friday I'm off work and headed down to Flagstaff for an oncologist visit - six month check up - and lunch with a long time friend. All went well. Doc says the cancer is still gone and I don't need to see him for another six months.

It was my first road trip for my new car and that thing is VERY frisky....out on the rez let her loose and easily did 100mph. Hard to keep it under 80mph. Which led to an encounter with the Arizona Highway Patrol...I was trying to get back to town before the post office closed.

Officer turned out to be a guy buying a house I used to own and we had a long friendly conversation and I got a written warning for 82 in a 65. Hey, its the rez...wide open spaces...

But when I finally got into town the post office was closed and there was a deliver slip for my DRESS BLUE MARINE hand sewn tank from Kathy Lare!!! Post office doesn't reopen until MONDAY!! And Monday is a full day at work!

So not only have I had to resist the urge to burglarize the post office to get my kilt I've had to "WAIT." I don't do "wait" well. Not at all. I want what I want when I want it! Don't they know who I am??!!

    No...posting this doesn't help...makes it worse...grumble.

Might even be arrested for lunacy after I finally strap it on and run around town in it shouting, "Wahoo!!!"

Restraint? That's what they'll need when they arrest me for bizarre kilting.

Less than 24 hours now. Post office opens at 0830 tomorrow. But dang...I'll be in a meeting at work then...or will I? I could say I need to use the rest room and sneak over to the post office...surprise everyone and come back from the "rest room" in a different kilt.

Or call in sick...on a three day week?

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
