show us your Cornish kilts & accessories
I'm a West Virginian of mixed English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry, but my most recent and direct family ties are to an extended family of Cornish miners who came to WV in the 1880s (when the Cornish mines were closing down).
The recent thread on Breton kilt accessories made me think about the Cornish things, and I came across this site
http://www.cornish-tartans.co.uk/kilt_sales.html
I love those Cornish sporrans! And kilt pins! I notice they mention different kilt pins for different regions of Cornwall, and for sure the village my family came from, Tywardreath, is known for its lovely ancient church and Celtic crosses.
So... I would love to see your Cornish kilts, kilt pins, sporrans, buckles, whatever you have.
Thanks! Richard
PS here's the church my Grandmother's Grandparents were baptised and married in, Tywardreath, snapped during our visit there
