My wife and I got some great news last evening. Our son, Joshua has gotten engaged to a wonderful young lady, MaryJo that we truely adore. We are very pleased to have her join our clan. He had called last week looking at rings, so we had a clue it was coming, but she was sure surprised! He had even called her parents earlier in the evening to ask their permission.

My son lives in Colorado and he asked her to marry him out in the pasture, knee deep in snow looking out over the horses which come up to their fence, with the mountains in the background. He said that though the world was supposed to end yesterday it was a grand new beginning for them.

My wife and I even received a phone call from MJ's parents who are as excited as my wife and I.
