Propper Use of a Fly Plaid?
I'm headed to the Opera; Kilted of course. I'll be wearing my wool 8yd Black Stewart, PC Jacket/Waistcoat and Black Cowhide Sporran. I'm contemplating taking my fly plaid as well. However not worn in the typical way a fly plaid would be worn. I was wanting rather to use a plaid as it was originally meant to be used... As a Blanket. I plan on taking the plaid for my date to use as a blanket seeing as how her legs always get cold. Whats the "best", "easiest" or "most useful" way to fold it for me to carry. I'm thinking about just folding it in on itself a few times so the fringe is only visible on the ends and is 6"x48", and just throw it over my left shoulder. Is there a precident for this sort of thing? Any help is greatly appreciated.
