Never Would Have Guessed They'd Have Three Kinds of Scottish Beverages at a Mexican
Restaurant. So a small chain of a family owned Colorado Mexican restaurants took over an abandoned Kentucky Fried Chicken building in our little town. El Tapatio is the chain name...Parachute, Fruita, etc. locations already.
They opened this week and tonight I stopped by for dinner. Found the expected brightly painted chairs and tables and walls and booths with scenes of dancing senoritas and vaqueros and studly bulls and stallions and agave farmers and quaint village scenes...and colorful sombreros on the walls.
Menu was about as expected and the food was okay but a challenge to this Gringo.
While I'm waiting I picked up the desert and booze menu and danged if they don't serve Buchanan's, Buchanan's 18, and Glenlivet!
Must be some sort of influence from the Irish Brigade or lustful Scot sailermen...
