Humour the buffoon
who can't identify a no doubt perfectly obvious tartan! I've abstracted this image from a second-hand auctioneers, a very well known and slightly disreputable one, as I was fascinated by this tartan (which is nagging me as I can't identify it & feel I ought to know what it is!) and I don't think it my place to give the seller custom!
PS: Of course, it could be what was known as a bumbee or commercial tartan.
