All of you chaps are correct, of course, 'Black Watch' IS a brilliant tartan. However, it and Royal Stewart are seen EVERYWHERE: on calendars, tins of biscuits (cookies), bottles of whisky, clothes from every chain-store in the land, packets of smoked salmon, funny hats sold in souvenir shops, etc. etc. You name it, and you can find it somewhere packaged or trimmed in either of those tartans! They are far too 'commonplace' for me ever to consider having a kilt in one or the other.

Sorry, but I wouldn't want to be wearing a tartan seen everywhere else. It's rather like all men having identical pairs of grey trousers!!

Still, if you guys all want to look alike........
