kilted in the 1980s
I recently borrowed and scanned this old photo. Yours Truly on the right, on the left is my old dearest friend the late Pipe Major Kevin Blandford.

It's a bittersweet photo because I'm reminded of all the fun we had playing together, in a band and also the huge number of duet gigs we did back then. (For you tartanistas out there, we're wearing British Columbia.)
Kevin's family owned a shop, RP Blandford & Son. Here I am working the booth

The tartan is Clan Donald, Muted from House of Edgar; the necktie is The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society of which I was an avid member at the time.
