Scottish Highlander Photo Archive
Greetings,
I stumbled across this website whilst doing a bit of genealogical research for a friend. I'd say it's rather interesting. If you type "kilt" in the search box, you'll get loads of photos of gents (and young boys) wearing Highland dress. I'm loving all of the full-mask sporrans presented!
Here is their premise:
"The Scottish Highlander Photo Archive (SHPA) will eventually see almost 40,000 portraits accessible online, along with the basic information that is available identifying the individuals, eg: "MacGregor, Hill Street, Tain." The database will enable Scottish expatriates and descendants the world over, who are interested in their family history, to search the archive for family matches and/or likeness and be able to buy images in print or electronic form. There is also a photo library service for publishers who wish to use images in their magazines, books, or newspapers."

Enjoy,
