    New WPG Seaforth Highlanders kilt

After losing a bunch of weight on the Paleo diet, I had to sell my kilts and get a new one.

I had a heck of a time deciding which kilt to buy, I really like USAKilts and I also considered a custom woven box pleated kilt from the STM. I finally decided on the 22oz., military box pleated, Seaforth(Mackenzie) regimental kilt from What Price Glory.

I like the kilt pretty well, it isnt near as heavy (total weight) as I thougth it would be. Probably because there isnt much yardage in the kilt. The tartan is really thick and fuzzy though, feels nice on the legs. The kilt seems pretty well made but the buckles were absolutely horrible! I wore it once with the straps and buckles that it came with and decided right away that they had to go.

Here is the new outside buckle

I repositioned the inner apron strap to the inside, like what is normally seen on 4 yard box pleated kilts. To me, this just works and looks better and while you have all the straps/buckles off, you might as well do it the way you want.

    And the finished product

    What do yall think?
