Bias cut tartan waistcoat
For eveningwear I have 2 doublets (bottle green barathea Balmoral and black velvet single breasted Montrose style) as well as a Prince Charlie coatee and waistcoat.
Since I have some options, I'm certainly in no rush but I've been thinking that it might be nice to jazz up my Prince Charlie coatee with a bias cut, tartan waistcoat in the Prince Charlie style (three buttons, lapels etc...).
I know I can special order these from a bespoke shop like Kinloch Anderson but I don't want to pay those kind of prices. Is there anyone on xmarks who would be capable of such a project and would be interested? Alternatively, is there a pattern available somewhere that I could shop around to local tailors in search of a winning deal?
It's a whim so I'm not willing to drop $350 + shipping on it, but hey, I'd like to have one if the stars align.
And on the off chance that anyone has one that they've outgrown, I'm looking for Macdonald of clanranald modern.
Slainte,
