I have an idea for a "custom" kilt pin and I would like to solicit some advice from The Rabble.

I have attached the image of a Masonic "challenge coin" that I have. It is approximately 2" or so in diameter, despite being an odd shape. I am considering ordering a second one to make a kilt pin out of using the "tack style" pins. Due to the size, I was thinking about using three fasteners in a triangular pattern or maybe four fasteners in a square pattern to distribute the load. What do you think? Would this be too heavy?
