i think tradition is driven to get exagereted when we couple it with a few cm or half inches. kilts have been worn much shorter before and thats a thing of changing fashion. tradition should not be a dogma but let space for free tastes.

i have three kilts in this discribed lenght, but my other three kilts are coming to the middle of my knee and i like both. my last prchased kilt will be shortened also to mid knee, but i worrying, about pleating the bottom to the inside, because this tailormade has a selvedge without sewing and maybe this could change the swinging of the pleats??
i also ordered a utilikilt - is this one better mesured on the longer side?
