My Life So Far (1998) - A Movie from Book
After watching, "The Angel's Share", as recommended by California Highlander, I browsed around Netflix and stumbled upon, "My Life So Far". This movie stars Colin Firth, Rosemary Harris, Malcolm MacDowell, and Irene Jacob, with special attention to a small, clever role featuring one of my favorite character actors, Freddie Jones! The film is set in Argyll, Scotland, in between the world wars pretty much entirely on a country estate called "Kiloran". Those that are fans of a particular Pressburger and Powell film should recognize that name.
Anyway, the movie has several kilted scenes with Firth's character and his sons. And, the film also features a curling tournament! The film is based on the autobiographical book, "Adam's Son", written by Denis Forman. I recommend it as a light drama with some comedy.

Trivia question: From what Pressburger and Powell movie was "Kiloran" borrowed?
