Kilt question to the rabble

I learn something new on here every day!

And I learn two or three!!

Anyway, I am thinking this out. It may be nice for making a waistcoat to go with a more proper Gov't. Sett kilt that I would love to own someday. If not, it could be a nice sporting kilt that I would not worry about getting to dirtied up. I will perhaps put it to the back burner and let my brain rest on it.
