Forbes or Lamont?
This Ebay listing is obviously not what it says it is, Black Watch.

Beyond having the white line there is the matter of the double lines in the blue ground not alternating, the 'double track' thing.
I looked up both of the tartans which came to mind, Forbes and Lamont. Neither exactly fit this kilt.
In The Setts Of The Scottish Tartans there is a Forbes (58) and a Lamont (86) which have the Black Watch double-track, and a Forbes (59) which lacks the double-track (as our Ebay kilt does) but has the white line edged in black. This kilt has very fine black lines not actually edging the white, but separated from the white by a bit of green.
The author does state that the presence or lack of black reinforcing lines to light stripes can vary from example to example of the same tartan.
Is this merely one of those vagaries, or is this another tartan altogether?
