Yes very interesting especially as I took my 13oz kilt to New Zealand in January. Here are the results - 9 yard 13oz kilt = 1.9kg (4.2lbs?) and 8 yard 18oz kilt 2.2 kg (4.8lbs?). Emirates generous baggage allowance meant that I had no problems.

I will be interested to see other results.
