NO mention of kilting without minimally a wool sweater, let alone shirtsleeves, polos, tees. Only one illustration in the whole book without a necktie.
In this opinion, the book is sorely in need of an update, or someone else should do a new "bible." Better still, several someones, from several points of origin and view.

Yes, I agree this book still has value as the traditional view. I have for a while however thought a supplemental view was in order for the very informal end of the spectrum. Starting with utility kilts, casual kilts, through all the things you've mentioned. Unfortunately I feel very ill equipped technically to produce this guide, as well as unqualified. Still the challenge is worthy of fulfillment. I think there is enough photo material on this forum and then some.
