At the grocery store today......
I just got back from the grocery store a few minutes ago. I wanted to test drive my new dress sporran. In the store, one lady stopped me to say, "I just love your outfit". Her husband, standing next to her, looked none to pleased. Next, I approached a group of teenage boys expecting to get the "nice skirt" comment. Instead, it was thumbs up, "Way to go!", "nice kilt". The girl at the checkout wanted to know what the special ocassion was... "Sunday supper, of course."
As for the sporran, it weighs a bit more than my others... presumably due to the metal arch... and doesn't bounce around as much. I also noticed that the finial at the top tended to rub against my belt buckle a bit. In addition, it seems a bit cumbersome when sitting down because of its height. I'm either going to have to wear it a bit lower, or dispense with the belt altogether. Anyone else have experience with dress sporrans or know of any rules of thumb with regards to same.?
