There is a series starting tomorrow evening 22.45 on the UK BBC radio 3 called The Essay - Homage to Caledonia, Scots abroad - the first of five programs by Al Kennedy. This one is tartan, the kilt and a sense of Scottish identity.

I don't know if it will be any good - but it might be worth a listen if you can hear it live or get a download of it somehow.
