Hello from Winnipeg, Canada !
Just dropping in to say hi and share some of my experience. Actually, I'm a complete noob, turning 29 soon, and only just learned about modern kilts. At first I'll admit, I was harping on them a bit, even saying I wouldn't wear one and here I am now sporting my first kilt! I think my biggest worry was probably that I might like them and I do Couldn't knock it 'til I rocked it!
I wore it out the entire first day after receiving it; friends (co-workers), family, neighbours, and all the like, in very public locations, got to see me in the kilt at total random! I just jumped right in. Don't get me wrong, I was initially on the fence but it helped reading around here while awaiting my shipment. Very different and interesting experience with some on-the-go training. There are things I just wasn't aware of; like large stationary objects and wind -- how bar stools are quite kilt friendly, etc. heheh.
Anyway it's been cool so far. Been wearing it outside of work but haven't even had it for a week yet. I like the added comfort, the challenge of learning things beyond my usual, and the extra overall fun in doing ordinary stuff
Today while bending down to grab a drink at the bottom of the cooler at work while wearing p@nts, I bent with my knees like I was kilted lol. So thanks for the information and experiences available here, hope to read into some more and thought I'd share in case it helps others who are looking to do the same. Later!
