Sizing up ?
I wonder if I can call upon the expertise and knowledge of the forum ?
I'm very new to kilt wearing and am wondering about a sizing query that I have. My 'seat' is somewhat larger than my waist and so if I wear a kilt correct to my waist size I look as though I'm wearing a bustle and the kilt sticks out at the rear, if I size up to try and alleviate this problem I end up with sagging aprons even on the tightest hole of the straps. Is it better to you think to be true to waist size and have the straps slightly loose or be better suited to 'seat' size and sag.
I appreciate that this only really applies to the 'Off The Peg' kilts and the problem should disappear with the made to measure kilt that I'm currently 'Jones-ing' on.
Thanks in advance for any advice
