To start, until I find full-time work my only kilt is a black 5.11 model, and I have a SWK Nightstalker nylon sporran I have corded to the front. No other accessories, I just mix street clothes when I go to Renn Faires. I'm also a very, very active Mason involved in almost every section of the fraternity. I'm gone at meetings a few nights a week, very passionate. For a 'Widow's Sons' (Masonic Bikers) event, I wore my kilt but stuck a masonic lapel pin on the front of the sporran. It...worked, but I yearned for something more substantial. Nothing too flashy or loud, just present and proud. I may eventually own a USA Kilt as well when I can afford it, for more formal occasions to mix with my suit jackets.

What are some ways to show my affiliation, without being too tacky or gaudy? This also has to take place on a very tight budget, I can't afford a real wool kilt nor a serious sporran, so note my spending limits.
