Even though I made this kilt quite a few years ago I have only recently started to wear it regularly. I was given the tartan by a good friend of mine in NZ that purchased a bulk lot of Jacobite period kilts, jackets and tartan from the BBC when they finished filming the movie kidnapped in NZ several years ago. It's a nice 100% wool tartan and when I made it I was a bit bigger than now , but with a kilt belt it stays on even though the straps are loose. Yesterday on my day off my future wife & I went out for lunch and a friend took the photo below. The tweed jacket was purchased cheaply from a used clothing store and I altered the bottom to turn it into a kilt jacket , which is fantastic for the winter. Later on I will get more photos of the kilt so you can see the pleats etc. 005.jpg
