    DIY dirk frog pattern

Needing a dirk frog, I decided to try my hand at DIY; after looking at several pictures on this forum, this is what I came up with.

The imperatives I fixed for the work were:
    - Single piece of leather, no stitching.
    - Wide top, to help the dirk hang straight by itself.

Finally, my design is as per the pattern below (apologies for the quality of the picture, it is a scan of the pattern, stuck on the leather, after I had cut the frog)(for full size pattern, scale image to 4675x1084px, 300px/"),
    - Total length of leather to suit dirk, so it hangs with the top stone slightly higher than the waist belt.
    - Holes A and B are for two Chicago screws, that hold the frog together.
    - Holes C and D, joined by a slit in the leather, are for the bridge on the scabbard; distance CD as needed.
    - Width of the narrow end to fit inside the scabbard bridge.
    - Distance between lines AB and CD fixed so that the Chicago screws are at the level of a neck on the dirk handle, and they don't rub on it.

As soon as I receive the Chicago screws, and some Devcon to repair the dirk handle that arrived broken, I'll post pictures of the finished frog.

That put it not unto the touch to win or loose it all.
