Cheers Stitchwiz. Although I think Artificer's work is top of the line stunning and among the very best, I have been tinkering with leatherwork for quite a few years now, off and on. I have to admit that I only recently viewed his work for the first time. I do love the sporrans that he makes though!
Artificer is a pro, and I only do this as a hobby, and because I'm cheap 
. The nicer commercially finished sporrans can be pretty hefty in price.
I used the term "whipped up" both as a pun, and because I was able to knock this out over a limited amount of free time, one weekend.
