My $4 sgian brew
About 10 years ago, I had my own dress sgian dhu. I really liked it, but I lost it at a gig 7 or 8 years ago. Since then, I've been looking for something to replace it that doesn't break the bank.
Then I discovered sgian brews, and figured I'd rather have something a bit more functional than a dullish knife. So I set about trying to find one that I like that isn't a bajillion dollars for what is essential a bottle opener.
I decided I wanted something a bit more day wear, so an antler or brown wood handle. Then I found this. It's the right length, and width, but maybe a little on the thick side, but still workable.
When it's in the sock, you can't tell that it's just a cheap bottle opener - but you also wouldn't be able to tell that it's an expensive bottle opener or fancy knife if I had one of those.
