Can someone teach me how to reply directly to a poster without quoting them?

    Figheadair,

Just for clarification, we're talking about the tartan in the Register as "Culloden 1746," in either a modern or ancient colorway, correct?

If so, I'd like to throw in my lot with the modern colorway. I'd like to get enough yardage to make a box-pleated kilt and a shoulder plaid, such as the ones Mr. Ashton and Mr. Newsome have made and worn on occasion.

Thank you VERY much for suggesting it. I had been longing for a kilt I this tartan for a while. I was not sure if I needed your permission, as registrant of the tartan, to have a length woven, and did not wish to disturb you over such an endeavor for myself only.

I believe you're also the designer of another tartan I wish very much to one day have a kilt in: Carolina. I hope one day to gather enough of my statesmen up to get a run of that going as well.

Thank you for all your work in design and research of historically-accurate tartan. Conservators often go overlooked in our culture's mad rush towards progress. However, they're integral to us knowing our own past better.

    Best,
    BW
