When my first kilt arrived a few months ago I resolved to go kilted about town whenever I could, on my own time. And I have.

I live in a rural town of 7,000 out in the canyonlands of Arizona, 140 miles to the nearest city of any size. We're a redneck, Navajo, Mormon town.

Today I took my first venture out in my new black UK workman's. Added black Wolverine boots and a Pendleton Jacket with black leather sleeves.

Went to the local Harvest Festival at the City park. A Navajo lady said, "Nice Kilt." Just straightforward and matter of fact.

Then at the supermarket a young Navajo guy said the same words, "Nice Kilt."

Wow, two in one day. Hiked the local tourist trail and met a couple from Aberdeen, Scotland who never said a word about it, just seemed to accept the kilt.

But dang, TWO "nice kilts" from Navajos in a few hours...that's a first.

Course the black UK Workman's is a dazzling kilt.
