Both the Stillwater black nylon sporran and the Carry All from Freedom Kilts are excellent for toting a load. I have and use both. However, as advised, beware of too heavy a sporran, else things get kinky.
The Woman gave me a front pocket wallet for Christmas. Now I'm using it all the time, it's so much more convenient than a bulky billfold for a back pocket. I don't carry more than three keys at a time. My cell phone is medium sized. All I really need to add for sporran management is a coin purse of some sort, nothing big or heavy. With that as a basic load, a small sporran will do. The first mentioned sporrans would allow you to carry in addition things like business cards, thumb drives, pipe an tobacco and such, but if you can do with out them, do.
