Alan, thank you for starting this thread, it's a real cracker! If nothing else, it has cautioned me to stick exclusively to building men's kilts, and not to countenance anything else like billie kilts or ladies pleated skirts, at least until I have plenty of experience with making men's kilts.
I have saved this thread into my Subscriptions folder that I called Kiltmaking 'How-to's', because of its intrinsic interest (eg, who knows where Lady Grey's tip on backing bias-cut fabric with straight-cut will find a use), and because, well, one day, you never know, really, do you...
Thanks again, and all the best with the rest of the project - I reckon pastor Gwen will be mighty pleased with the outcome.
