Today I received my pairs of garter ties I picked up on Etsy. The knitter is quite fast in her knitting, and can do custom colors on request. The price point is in my range at a paltry $15.00 per pair. I bought two pairs, one in red and one in gold. They are quite stretchy, and chunky which I like as it fills out the cuff a touch quite nicely on my daily wear bargain hose, yet aren't too much with my Lewis hose. With just light tension they really work well at keeping my hose up. The garters are made of acrylic yarn to keep things affordable and easily washable and I like the brighter colors often seen in acrylics. The red is a nice vibrant red, the yellow is magnificent to my eyes, it's like a goldenrod color, brighter than mustard but darker than a primary yellow.
