Sporrans and Possibles Bags
I've a chea. . . er, reasonably priced sporran on the way but I'm thinking about what all I lug about on a daily basis.
Usually I carry a wallet, keys, lighter (I don't smoke but it's good to have fire, sometimes), wee pill bottle, nitro bottle, Leatherman, pocket knife, small flashlight (3/4" x 3"), spare change, large-ish cell phone (S5) and handerchief. Not sure all this is gonna fit.
Got me to thinking--when I was a Mountain Man re-enactor, I carried a "Possibles Bag." This was a bag about the size of a sporran worn on my belt--no pockets in a breechclout and leggins, either--in which you carried your possibles, that stuff you might possibly need. Not to be confused with the bag I wore over my shoulder, that would be my Shootin' Bag.
So, does anyone wear an additional bag on their kilt belt? A possibles bag, if you will. I'm thinking maybe a matching sporran fitted with belt loops, maybe.
P.S. that flashlight has been a lifesaver. Got it at Autozone for about $3, it's a Police something or other, led, quite bright and the batteries last a long time.
